The Yellow perch is a member of the Perch
family (Percidae). The yellow perch population in Chesapeake Bay is unique because it winters in areas of moderate salinity; all other populations spend their entire life cycle in freshwater. The map below shows presence (green circles) of this species in the 1995-2019 MBSS dataset. |
